At Derrimut Primary School, Performing Arts are incorporated into the weekly program. 

It is enhanced by extra curricular activities like instrumental music lessons, concerts and performances.

Students will also be exploring various aspects of drama to build voice, body, and gesture confidence.

Our sessions aim to:

• draw upon play and imagination in making dance, drama and music
• assist students to use movement to communicate their ideas, feelings and experiences
• help students explore a variety of body movements
• use basic elements of sound and explore them in making music
• encourage students to join in singing and chanting rhymes and to share their performances with others
• encourage students to respond to dramatic elements in a personal way into daily routine
