2027 Foundation Enrolment Process

 

2027 Foundation enrolments open in Term 2, Monday 2oth April 2026.

This page contains information for families on how to enrol their child in a Victorian government school and outlines the timeframes for submitting Foundation enrolment applications for the 2026 school year.

 

In-zone students and out-of-zone siblings (residing together at the same permanent address, attending the school at the same time) can submit the Photographing and Filming consent form' & 'Enrolment form'.

 

 

To ensure your permanent home address is in our school’s zone, type your address into Find my School.

 

Enrolment forms and applications are due by Friday 31st July 2026

Tuesday 10th February 2026 - 9.30am

Tuesday 24th February 2026 - 9.30am

Tuesday 10th March 2026 - 9.30am

Tuesday 24th March 2026 - 9.30am

 

Bookings are essential, please call 8361 1000 or email derrimut.ps@education.vic.gov.au to book your spot.

Please report to the school office 5 minutes prior to the tour start time.

Student Transfer Enrolment Process


Step 1.
 To transfer your child's enrolment to our school, sign the exit form at your current school and request a student data transfer to Derrimut Primary School.

 

Step 2. Submit the 'enrolment form' with the required documents outlined below via email to derrimut.ps@education.vic.gov.au.

 

Documents required for enrolment:

  • Enrolment form
  • Provide your child’s birth certificate, passport or Immi card as evidence of birth
  • Provide your child’s immunisation history statement (available from your Medicare Account)
  • Provide evidence that you live within the school zone (e.g. driver’s license, telephone or electricity bill, or leasing agreement).
  • Provide visa documents if your child was born overseas.
  • Provide living or care arrangement documents (custody restrictions: eg. court orders/parenting orders etc).
  • Provide health & medical needs documents (eg. Asthma Plan, Anaphylaxis Plan etc).
  • If your child has a disability or additional learning needs, please provide any relevant information from their medical or allied health practitioners after they have been offered enrolment. 

 

Step 3. Attend an enrolment meeting (if applicable).
